Sending birthday greetings to Mark Schirmacher who released his epic collab album today called 1972: Here and Gone. What a great way to celebrate a milestone birthday with the drop of an album that represents all the memories from the past 3 years as Low Key Trampoline.
I connected with Mark about a year ago on Instagram, followed his blog, and began listening to his music. What I thought was fascinating was that unlike most lofi artists who stick with certain lofi styles, Mark is so multi-talented that he can literally release amazing tracks in all types of genres. Plus, he even sings too!
Mark is also an amazing writer and he is one of the few people I know who appreciates literature as much (and perhaps even more) than I do. When we connected for the Sonder project, Mark became my mentor, guiding me on my first collab album. He was my saviour throughout the project – always answering all of my questions and offering invaluable advice. His years of experience in creating music shows in his releases, and I am a huge fan of his work.
Don’t forget to check out my blog post from two weeks ago when I shared news about this collab release. I believe Mark is the ‘King of Collabs’ and my hope is to collab again with him in the near future. Any opportunity to work with this guy is always epic in my books.
Happy birthday Mark! Enjoy your day in the spotlight!
