A Farewell Salute to Technoblade

Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade passed away at the age of 23 and I would like to take a moment to send him a farewell salute.

Last year, Technoblade revealed to fans that he was diagnosed with cancer. What I admired about Technoblade was his approach to the situation. It’s not easy being diagnosed with cancer and sharing it with millions of people he has never met. He took it upon himself to be open about his stage 4 cancer battle, turning it into humourous content on his channel, which demonstrated his strong mentality throughout his battle. Technoblade also rallied lots of support for cancer funding and even prepared an emotional goodbye video for his fans that his family posted on his behalf.

Technoblade’s dad read his son’s message, which started off with:  “Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you’re watching this. I am dead.”

Whether you’re a Minecraft fan, gamer, or just a cancer advocate, news of Technoblade’s death hits the heart. My son is a huge Minecraft fan, so I knew about Technoblade,, the potato wars, and his iconic Minecraft skin of a pig with a crown. He was truly a legend in the Minecraft community so I’m glad to hear that Mojang plans to pay tribute to Technoblade’s legacy.

Technoblade was widely renowned for his impressive Minecraft PvP  skills. Starting out in 2013, he has grown his following to over 10 million subscribers on YouTube. He cultivated a dedicated community that includes several other well-known creators, and helped to shape the Minecraft community that we see today. There has been an outpouring of love and remembrances on social media.

Hypixel has released a statement on their plans to create a book of condolences that will be available for everyone to sign until the end of July. This book will then be printed and given to Technoblade’s family.

So let me end this farewell salute with some final words.

Thank you, Technoblade, for sharing your love for Minecraft with everyone and leaving such a positive impact in the community. May you rest in peace.
