I read Dune many years ago, so was interested to watch the movie since I love comparing any movie adaptation to the original book. However, this movie was a bit of a disappointment.
It was pretty exciting seeing the sandworm burst out from the sand and all the high-tech transportation. So, if I were to rate this movie cinematically, then it would score top grades, but the pace of the movie stalled. That could have been affected by the fact that the movie was only half of story. Honestly, I felt like we were left with a teaser and that’s just not a good feeling at all.
