Grammar tip of the month: September 2021

From my years of editing experience, I bring some advice of common mistakes I catch when editing work from other authors.

This month, I talk about the correct order of adjectives when used in a sentence.

We use adjectives in our sentences all the time to describe a person, place, animal, or thing (nouns). But, did you know that there’s actual a correct order to organize your adjectives within a sentence?

The magical formula for ordering adjectives in a sentence is:

Number + Opinion + Size + Shape + Colour + Material + Noun
