Today is World Photography Day and Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada (BTFC) on Instagram is celebrating by asking everyone to share their favourite Brain Tumour Walk picture.
The photo above is my favourite moment from Walk Day this year. Given that this year’s event was virtual and everyone participating were walking their own routes, I did not expect to spot anyone on Walk Day along my trail. I walked at Tommy Thompson Park with my family and noticed a lady who was wearing a BTFC t-shirt. I approached her and found out it was Alisa who instantly recognized me when she saw my book and asked if I was the author of it since she saw it listed on the silent auction. It was pretty cool meeting a fellow BTFC supporter and was glad to have an opportunity to take a photo to commemorate the moment. Maybe next year I’ll meet Alisa again on the trails.
