Spider-man meets the Pope

A man dressed in a Spider-Man costume met Pope Francis on June 23rd, asking for him to pray for the sick children and their families.

That man is Matteo Villardita, a 28-year-old who even gave the pope an extra Spider-Man mask is someone bringing smiles to many children in Italy. Throughout the COVID-19 health crisis, Villardita reportedly made 1400 video calls to children in hospitals.

I’m so happy to hear that someone would do this for the children of Italy. Stories like this give us hope for humanity. Want to read other inspirational stories? Check out my digital magazine, ‘Hold On,’ to read more by signing up here.
