July 2021 edition of ‘Hold On’

June has been a month of hitting many new milestones for my novel, ‘Hold on please, Emily.’ However, the highlight for this month was Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada’s virtual #BrainTumourWalk on June 27th where all members of Team #HoldOnPleaseEmily walked together to raise awareness for brain tumours.

As we hinted last month, Kromatix_ and I transitioned into the next stage of our advocacy campaign. We’ve started building awareness videos using photos contributed by our team members and the music from our accompanying music album, ‘Hold on please, Emily: Songs of Hope.’

Music has the power to stimulate a range of emotions; we are built to experience music as much as we are built to breathe.

In this edition, we put that statement to the test by interviewing a band teacher ( Élodie Garroway) and a two-time cancer survivor (Carol Wyllie) who believes that music speaks to her soul.
