I’m a huge fan of Disney’s Mulan and when the animated movie came out, this song, ‘True to Your Heart‘ was my favourite. Granted, it featured Stevie Wonder, who I call a legend in the music world. But it was the message that I really liked in this song because it speaks about being yourself.
We should never be afraid to be ourselves or worry about whether people will be okay with it. It is who we are and we should be proud of it. Don’t hide in the shadows because you are afraid to follow your heart. Be bold. Be brave. Be you. It was this song actually that inspired me to write ‘Nothing Else Matters.’ Be true to yourself by being you.
