Honestly, I thought this would never happen. A verified artist Spotify account. I set up my profile this month to prepare for the launch of our novel soundtrack, ‘Songs of Hope,’ but today (the day after our songs were released), my verified status was finally approved.
I love music, but have a terrible off-key voice so never got into singing. Although I played piano for 15 years, I didn’t consider making my own tunes. But when I connected with Kromatix_ who helped me turn my song lyrics into real songs, everything just started to fall in place.
I had no idea a songwriter qualifies as an artist. When you think about it, it makes sense since the lyrics are an integral part of a song, but in my mind, I always thought artists were only the musicians that perform the song or produce the music.
With my account now set up, I am excited to see how the public enjoys our music. These songs were written as part of my novel, ‘Hold on please, Emily,’ and each tell a story about themes in my book. Portions of my lyrics can be found in my novel and Kromatix_ performed all the songs.
This is just the beginning of my songwriting career, so stay tuned to see what else I have in-store.
