Please don’t ask me to bake. I am not a baker. Cooking I’m passable, but oh don’t get me near an oven.
I don’t know how people do it. I follow recipes to the tee and end up with pies that are falling apart and scones that are as hard as a rock. I’m not sure what’s going on. But what I do know is that so many parents bake with their kids. It’s a popular mother-daughter activity and some children even have cooking parties for their birthday.
Not like cooking is only a female activity, but I am so glad I have a son who doesn’t fancy the kitchen.
The only thing I’ve mastered with my son was making pancakes. We add a creative twist by making the mix together and then using cookie cutter prints to print on the surface of the pancake, making them Star Wars pancakes or Minecraft pancakes.
I’m definitely not a master chef, but I still got a few things up my sleeve when it comes to creativity.
