Cancer. It’s the C-word nobody wants to hear. And that word comes with a mix of emotions (and sometimes even anger) towards yourself and those around you.
Receiving a cancer diagnosis is not easy because it truly changes your life. It changes your life because it forces you to self-reflect, you question death, you fear and worry. These reactions are typical, but not easy to face.
If you or someone you know is faced with a cancer diagnosis, take a step back to breath. Whatever happens in your journey ahead, make sure to do yourself this favour. Don’t give up and start living your life. Life is unpredictable, but when you’re given a warning of the possibility, then for better or worse, it’s important to make the most of the time you have (just in case you come out on the losing end). So, be open to the people around you with your bucket list, let others know how you truly feel, and don’t let any feelings of regret stop you.
Cancer is not something easy to overcome. But sometimes, it’s this extra motivation and energy you’re now putting into your life that will bring you hope and help you come out on top.
