From old photos, postcards, bookmarks, and random sheets of paper, there are so many things that are left behind in library books. I remember borrowing a library book once and found an old photo inside, while another time, there was a candy wrapper. The thing is, when we read, we don’t always end at the end of a chapter, so we need to mark our page. Many people like bending the corner of a page, while others stuff something random to mark their spot. Bookmarks, although the most logical thing to use for a page marker, aren’t always handy, so even an old receipt would do it’s job. I actually find these discoveries fun because if gives you an idea of who borrowed the book you’re reading before you did.
