So, we’re entering ski season here in Canada and after not skiing for a full season last year, I honestly don’t miss it.
I learned how to ski when my son was learning five years ago. Growing up, I never had much interest in sports. I preferred reading, arts, and music over athletics. However, when my son told me that he would love to ski with me, I was motivated to learn. So I did.
Nowadays, I can stay on my feet for blue hills and although I tried black diamonds twice, I prefer to avoid them because I value my life more than the thrill at my age. However, if you were to ask me if I prefer a day skiing or relaxing in front of a fireplace on a winter day, I’ll choose to stay indoors. Being out in the cold is not my cup of tea. If it wasn’t for my son, I would be a hibernating completely in the winter.
