The Velveteen Rabbit

The Velveteen Rabbit’ by Margery Williams is a story that I believed inspired ‘Toy Story’ because this classic tale touches upon a beloved stuffed toy (the Velveteen Rabbit) that hopes to be ‘real.’

I view the Velveteen Rabbit as a metaphor for the value of authenticity and vulnerability. It’s a classic children’s book that I hold dear to my heart—I own three versions of it, including the original. If you love reading classic children’s book or looking for one to read to your kids, pick up a copy of ‘The Velveteen Rabbit‘ today.
