I really like the story behind Solomon Alber’s single ‘Second Wind‘ and the saxophone components reminded me of the days when I used to play alto.
This track was recorded remotely just after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Each contributor to this song was back in their hometowns, pondering the seriousness of the current global crisis while wrestling with the question of what we as musicians can do to help. Solomon is a true advocate at heart—proudly supporting movements like Black Lives Matter and Amnesty International. Aptly named “Second Wind,” this track speaks to the hope and optimism (no matter how faint) that their collective group shared as they looked towards the future with their heads held up high.
