“Memories” is a 6-track debut EP released by Offghost on July 8th. This project explores the nostalgic side of lofi with intimate sounds that speak to different elements. It’s a calm and beautiful collection where each song builds upon each other.
When I listened to the EP in order, I felt like Offghost was building on a story where he is reunited with his home, but soon discovers how much things have changed, eventually leading to his farewell and disconnect from reality. Although Offghost might not have intended his music to portray such a story, it must be the storyteller inside of me that’s speaking to the emotional tranquility in his music collection.
