“Sometimes the loudest sound is silence. There is no need to speak, but the lack of words shows that your heart is hurting as you grieve. That’s because in such silence do we honour the one we loss. After all, the one who I loss is silent too. Silence is a welcomed friend that brings a sense of comfort when you feel alone.” ~ Doris Siu
I spent many days and weeks grieving and what I learned from loss is that silence is actually more powerful than words during this time. In your own solitude do you find peace and also an opportunity to quietly reflect on all that has happened in your life. Death changes you and, surprisingly, helps you grow stronger too.
