‘Vivo’ was a fun movie to watch that really tugs on your heart strings. Though, this movie does fall into many cliché moments and the adventure through the Everglades with more talking animals didn’t make much sense. Plus, when listening to Vivo rap, it felt like I was watching an animated version of Hamilton since Vivo was voiced by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
I think ‘Vivo’ could have been more powerful, like Coco, if more of the story was focused on the power of music and the love between Marta & Andres. The animation though was still beautiful and so was the music, especially Andres’s song to Marta.
